Be prepared for a very large, heavy box. Assembly is not particularly clear from their directions, but can be logically figured out.  Our first desk was damaged in shipping and the second one has a large scratch on it.  It ended up being somewhere that you can't see after assembly, so we kept it.  Now that it is set up and in use we are very happy with the desk.
